Parisian soprano, Onadek Winan is a master’s candidate at Juilliard, where she studies with Edith Bers. She made her opera debut with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra at age 15. She has performed in Charpentier’s Actéon with William Christie, as Bastienne in Mozart’s Bastien und Bastienne with the Massy Opera house, and made her Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall and Avignon opera house debuts. She also made her debut with the Baltimore Symphonic Orchestra and conductor Marin Alsop. Recently she was Poppea in Handel's Agrippina at Juilliard and made her recital debut at the Festival de l'Orangerie de Sceaux in France. She spent summers at Houston Grand Opera and Wolf Trap Opera where she sang Zerbinetta in Strauss Ariadne auf Naxos and Ophélie in Ambroise Thomas Hamlet. Upcoming she’ll be Feu, Princesse and Rossignol in a production of Ravel’s l’Enfant et les sortilèges at Alice Tully Hall and will be the title role in Juilliard’s production of Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie. She won the Jury’s Prize in the International Singing Competition of Marmande, first prize in Les Maîtres du chant Français, and Most Promising Singer Prize in the Canari Vocal Competition. She has been named by the Juilliard School 2015 Presser Scholar in recognition of outstanding achievement as a music major. Ms. Winan is a graduate of École Normale de Musique and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique. Ms. Winan is a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship.
