Bartok, Rodrigo, and Bizet

May 2 and May 3, 2020

Bartok, Rodrigo, and Bizet

The season closes with music that speaks of the land. Whether it's the duende (Spanish for "soul") of Rodrigo's guitar Adagio or the sparkly outer movements, the gutsy Bartok dances or Bizet's champagne-popping symphony of youthful abandon, this inviting concert will entrance us.  And so will magnificent 18-year-old guitar super-star Junhong Kuang.

Bartok––Romanian Folk Dances
Rodrigo––Zarabanda lejana y villancico
Rodrigo––Concierto d’Aranjuez

Junhong Kuang, guitar

Intermission

Bizet––Symphony
